Q&A

How does it work?

Well, it takes a lot of back and forth, and a lot of people behind the scene to produce a transformative journey full of business insight, industry access and market immersion.

For the Innovation Sprint:

We select the best of the best. After sorting through the applications, we select a group of potential Anchors to have 1-1 video calls to confirm the fit, what they are interested in and looking to accomplish. We understand the top people want to network with other top players, so we spend a lot of time making sure we only select the most awesome delegation members. After all, we value our time and connections, and it’s our own lifelong community.

On the ground in Taiwan, concurrently we spend a lot of time communicating with our local stakeholders. We identify the most relevant and innovative corporate leaders, investors, startups, government officials, and ecosystem connectors. The 1-week business safari includes tech forums, company visits, luncheons, investor dinners, community meetups and island explorations. The goal is to equip our delegation members with the knowledge, connections and resources for Asia soft-landing and cross-border collaboration.

For the Entrepreneurial Residency:

On top of above, our delegation members can extend their stay to make it a full-month “residency” experience. This is most suitable for founders or professionals who want to take advantage of being on the ground, and follow up with contacts or business leads from the Innovation Sprint. We provide consultancy for each member to plan their expansion in Taiwan before they arrive so they can hit the ground running. Previously we’ve helped our members with recruiting, business setup, partner scouting, investor matchmaking, media exposure, and go-to-market strategies.

What's the agenda like?

The 1-week program has a fully curated whole-day agenda. For the entrepreneurial residency, our members work on their projects at the Anchor cohort base or arrange their own meetings during the free time.

Who usually join our program?

Curious minds, innovative changemakers and cross-border pioneers who are founders, product designers, developers, corporate executives, and investors. We believe in the power of diversity and open innovation. Our delegation members are not only at the top of their fields, but also believers of community and collaboration.

How big is the cohort?

For the Innovation Sprint, up to 15-20 delegation members. For the Entrepreneurial Residency, no more than 10 startups.

How do I join an upcoming program?

Take a few moments to fill out the application form so we can start getting to know you! If you are selected, we will send further details and an invitation for a video call. You can find the application form by clicking the red “APPLY” button at the top-right corner.

How much will it cost?

The 1-week program for corporate executives will be US$5,950 for May 2020, which covers registration fee, hotel accommodation, ground transportation, events, activities, customized program curation, basic insurance, and most meals (pretty much all major items except for your international flights).
