Elisa Chiu is the founder of Anchor Asia (Anchor Taiwan) | Anchor Venture Partners, a platform since 2017 focusing on innovation ecosystem building and venture capital for cross-border collaborations. Charlie graduated from the Institute of Electrical Engineering at National Taiwan University. He spent 7 years in the electronics industry at Realtek Semiconductor before working at the Giant Electric Vehicle Kunshan Factory for 3 years. With his unique working experience in both the bicycle industry and the electronics industry, Charlie returned to Taiwan in 2013 to establish Hyena. The original team of three people has expanded to nearly 150 people, of which more than 50% are in R&D. Hyena counts several major brands in North America and Europe among its clientele.

Joshua Hon is the Founder and Team Captain at Tern Bicycles where the mission is to build better bicycles for transportation. Tern believes that switching car trips to bike trips is the best way for us to reduce carbon emissions. Founded in 2011, Tern specializes in the design and manufacture of electric, cargo, and folding bicycles and sells its products in 40+ countries. Tern’s donates 1% of net profits to organizations fighting to improve sustainability, equitability, and livability in our communities.

Prior to starting Tern, Mr. Hon and his team helped create the Folding Bicycle market category while at Dahon. Prior to that, Mr. Hon worked at A&R Partners (now Edelman), a leading Silicon Valley marketing communications firm.

Mr. Hon graduated from Stanford University with a Master of Arts in Organizational Behavior and Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Human Biology.

Cathy Hwang is a Venture Partner at Palm Drive Capital, an early-stage investment fund based in New York City with offices in Taipei and Miami. As part of her work at Palm Drive, Cathy leads the fund’s efforts in sourcing and executing early-stage investments with teams based in Asia. Cathy primarily focuses on enterprise software, consumer internet and mobile technology companies.

Before moving back to Taiwan in 2016, Cathy was with Battery Ventures, a Boston-based technology investment fund with more than $17 billion in assets under management. While at Battery, Cathy was part of the investment team where she invested in technology businesses in the U.S. and Europe. Prior to Battery, Cathy was with the technology investment banking groups at RBC Capital Market and AGC Partners in New York and Menlo Park. Cathy graduated with honors from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Economics and a B.S. in Business Administration from the Walter A. Haas School of Business.

▧ Andreas Kreiner, Head of Tech Scouting at Pierer Innovation

Andreas Kreiner is a technologist & strategist who heads the tech scouting team at Pierer Mobility, Europe’s largest motorcycle company, with a new arm in bicycles.

Andreas’ goal is to ensure the sustainability of the company in the 21st century by never missing a major trend, and by bringing in new technologies and partners with a focus on startups. His group engages with some 1,000 startups a year on any technology, ranging from AI to quantum computing.

He was born in the US, raised in Africa, schooled in Austria, lived much in Switzerland, loves travelling but hadn’t made it to Taiwan until Bike Venture at 2024’s Taipei Cycle.

 

Andreas Kreiner是一位科技專家和策略家,他任職於旗下包括KTM的歐洲最大摩托車公司Pierer Mobility,帶領”技術搜尋 (technology scouting)”團隊。除了摩托車,Pierer Mobility也在自行車領域擴展了新的業務。

▧ Andy Lin, Vice President of Astro Tech. / Director, Chairman Office of Darfon Electronics Group

Astro Tech. is a globally leading manufacturer of Ebike frames. In 2021, Astro joined the Darfon Group, and Andy Lin was invited to join Astro in 2022, taking on responsibilities for global sales, corporate operations, and new business development. Through organizational and digital transformations, they leveraged the resources of the Darfon Group. Over the past two years, Astro’s revenue has grown by nearly 40% while continuously expanding its Smart Ebike Frame Platform. Currently, Andy is also assisting Astro in transitioning towards the capital market, with expectations of becoming a publicly listed company in 2026.

Andy Lin joined the Darfon Group in 2018, primarily tasked with group strategic planning, investment, M&A, and business development. Over four years, he assisted the Chairman of Darfon in building the group’s strategic M&A roadmap, successfully investing NT$3.5 billion in six companies, and establishing the Smart Ebike Alliance. These initiatives contributed to the group’s revenue reaching NT$13 billion and facilitated Darfon Group’s successful transformation.

Andy Lin possesses experience in entrepreneurial fundraising and business development from his tenure at Jiangsu SinoDiamond Co.. Upon returning to Taiwan in 2011 and transitioning to the investment sector, he joined Concord Venture Capital Group. In addition to participating in investment evaluations, he was tasked with enhancing operational performance at invested public listed companies, notably Key Ware Electronics, where he successfully orchestrated a turnaround from losses to profits. In 2014, he ventured into the global arena by joining the Swire Group, where he was responsible for establishing an eCommerce presence in the used car platform sector and developing brand strategies. Andy Lin’s extensive practical experience spans business, administration, and investment.

Mark Lin is the founder and CEO of Rybit, a leading B2B subscription platform for light electric vehicles (e.g., e-bikes).  Founded in 2019, Rybit is currently managing over 40,000 micro-mobility devices (primarily e-bikes), 2 million users on the platform, generating 200 million emission-free miles every year.  Rybit advances energy transition for enterprise customers and city councils to phase out fossil fuel-based mobility products across all use cases. 

In Taiwan, Rybit operates Moovo, the first smart-docking e-bike sharing platform in Taiwan. Moovo is currently operating in Chuanghua and Yunlin County, serving millions of urban residents’ last-mile commuting needs and gaining 97.7% approval rating among the general public.

Prior to starting Rybit, Mark had been serving as the Head of International Operations at Mobike, spearheading the business’ global market expansion until its US$3 billion dollar acquisition by Meituan. He also launched a telecom software venture in India with Reliance Jio, the largest telecom operator in India to bridge the digital divide for hundreds of millions of users in India. 

Mark graduated from Harvard Business School and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University.  Before his various entrepreneurial endeavors, Mark had acquired extensive experiences in professional management, strategy consulting, M&A, and venture capital / private equity in the global markets.  This paved the foundation for his entrepreneurial journey.

Kei Onishi is the CEO and Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Ventures, an early-stage investment fund based in Palo Alto, CA, with $300 million in assets under management. He is responsible for shaping the investment strategy and direction of Yamaha’s corporate venture capital (CVC) program and facilitating its integration with the company’s strategic initiatives.

He has a wealth of experience in digital marketing and data analytics, having led Yamaha Motor Group’s digital transformation initiative, overseeing strategy and execution. On January 1st 2017, Bonnie Tu assumed the position of Chairperson of the Giant Group.

She first joined Giant in 1978 as a General Managing Assistant. Later, she became the Financial and Purchase Manager. Under her careful planning as Financial Director in 1993, Giant successfully went IPO on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in 1994. In 1999, she took up the simultaneous role of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, singlehandedly managing the operational development and global financial strategy of Giant.

In 2008, Bonnie founded Liv, the first and only female cycling brand in the world. Liv was founded with the mission of fulfilling the needs of the female cyclist. The Liv mission statement, “Liv Beyond”, inspires women to rediscover their deep potential through the sport of cycling, and through this, inspires confidence and self-actualization. For Giant, women cyclists play a crucial role in the future growth of the company. It may be for these efforts that Bonnie was voted as the 28 th among the 50 most influential people in the bicycle industry in 2020 by Cycling News.

Through cross-border platforms, he guides the industry to explore key issues such as digitalization, low carbon practices, product innovation, business models, smart manufacturing, and supply chain resilience. 

Robert’s goal is to embrace new strategies for competition within the ecosystem of technology and digital systems, providing the new generation of industry professionals with benchmarks and criteria for seamless succession. His overarching vision is to establish the foundation of “Crossing Fifty Towards a Century,” ensuring a smooth transition for businesses and creating a sustainable future.

Deborah Wu, who joined KMC in early 1997, previously spearheaded global sales and brand marketing for KMC Group’s Bicycle Chain Business Unit. Over the past 20 years, she managed overseas branch offices in KMC Chain Europe, KMC USA, KMC China and Asian markets. With a keen sensitivity to global bicycle market trends, she brings extensive experience to her role.

Having spent over 5 years deeply immersed in Germany, Deborah offers a unique perspective on the European consumer market and draws from the resources of new startup companies in the German and European automobile and IT industries. Through this experience, she has witnessed and adapted to the evolving trends in the e-Mobility sector in Europe.

Born and educated in Taiwan, Deborah holds bachelor’s degrees in English and German, and earned her MBA in California. With a passion for sports and cycling, she has led the company team in completing events such as the Tour de Taiwan, triathlons, and marathons.

Born and educated in Taiwan, Deborah holds bachelor’s degrees in English and German, and earned her MBA in California. With a passion for sports and cycling, she has led the company team in completing events such as the Tour de Taiwan, triathlons, and marathons.

Deborah Wu 於 1997 年初加入 KMC (桂盟),曾負責 KMC 自行車鏈條業務部門的全球銷售和品牌營銷。在過去的 20 年中,她管理了集團分公司 KMC Chain Europe、KMC USA 和 KMC 亞洲與中國市場,累積了對全球自行車市場趨勢的敏銳洞見。

▧ Donald Yu, Chief Strategy Officer & Chief of Staff at Giant Group

Dr. Yu, Wen-Jen (Donald), who graduated from NCCU College of Commerce (Taiwan) and acquired his Ph.D in Business Administration, is now the Chief Strategy Officer of Giant Group. He is the Chief Strategy Officer/Chief of Staff of Giant Group and Chairman of SPIA Cycling Inc. Assisted in the development of Giant Group’s medium to long term brand/technology/product/business model development plans for the global bicycle industry, as well as the enhancement of the global sales company’s management and operational capabilities.

As the former senior executive assistant and Taiwan and Hong Kong Business Director of Wistron ITS, Dr. Yu assisted the Chairman and CEO with organizational management optimization and digital transformation engineering. At the same time, he served as the director of Taiwan and Hong Kong Business, conducting the objective promotion, execution, and management for all clients and thousands of employees in Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Before joining Wistron ITS, Dr. Yu served as the president of the China region at Investar Corporation. He was appointed by the co-founder and Chairman of Acer Group, Tai, Chung-He to represent Investar Corporation for promoting the most crucial government policy communication and investment project promotion in the China region.

As the former director and general manager of Delta Greentech under Delta Group, Dr. Yu led and developed the most crucial businesses in the China region, including power, video, industrial automation, and energy management to provide highly efficient, reliable, and comprehensive solutions to industrial clients. During the period, Dr. Yu had been working closely with various business groups of the Group to maximize the synergistic effect of resources and achieve operational growth in the China region. In addition, he assisted the Group’s M & A companies to land in China and provide localized products and solutions to the market. By establishing close cooperation and win-win relationships with the central government in Beijing and the local governments in the relevant provinces and cities, Dr. Yu approximately earned annual revenue of about RMB 7 billion with nearly 2,000 employees.
