▩ Bob Wang, Chief Digital Officer at Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI); Professor at National Chiao Tung University
王傑智 | 工研院數位長、陽明交通大學教授

Bob Wang is a professor with National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) and a principal research fellow with Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) leading autonomous vehicles groups. His research interests include robotics, machine learning / perception, and smart transportation. Before returning to Taiwan, he worked at the Special Projects Group of Apple Inc. in Cupertino, USA.  

Bob is instrumental in developing self-driving vehicles in Taiwan, leading many international collaboration projects with Australia and Japan. Bob’s team recently completed Taiwan’s first self-driving test operation at medium and high speeds in an open field at the Taoyuan Airport. He received his Ph.D. in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University. 

王傑智為陽明交通大學電機系教授、工研院機械與機電系統研究所數位長，他曾在美國卡內基美隆大學Carnegie Mellon University知名的全球自駕技術先驅NavLab攻讀博士學位。他曾在蘋果總部特別產品部門 (SPG) 擔任要職，自美返台後，為台灣國產自駕系統研發重要核心人物，領導多項台灣與澳洲、日本等跨國自駕車合作，並參與經濟部、工研院與桃園機場合作之高速自駕落地驗證，結合5G、智慧機場，為台灣第一個在開放場域以中高速自駕測試運行案。
