▩ Austin Mang-Chao Wang, CEO, Taipei Performing Arts Center

Austin graduated with a Master’s degree in Stage Lighting Design from the University of Southern California, USA., and has served as a Senior Production Manager and Stage Designer for Cloud Gate Dance Theatre. He’s also been involved in stage and lighting design for numerous renowned performance groups in Taiwan and responsible for the opening/closing ceremony of Taipei Deaflympics (2009) as the Chief Stage Designer. Austin is one of the jury members of Prague Quadrennial and the convener of Taiwan team, with the Taiwan Hall project winning the Gold Medal for Best Use of Technology (2007). He received the National Award of Arts presented by the National Culture and Arts Foundation of Taiwan (2014), and Belvedere International Achievement Award in Warsaw (2004). From 2016 to 2021, he held the position of Director at the Taipei Performing Arts Center (TPAC), prior to his current position at TPAC.
畢業於南加州大學舞台燈光設計碩士,投入劇場超過三十年。曾任雲門舞集的資深製作經理和舞台設計,作品如《水月》、《流浪者之歌》等,也為臺灣許多知名表演團隊擔任舞台及燈光設計或技術指導,如雲門舞集、表演工作坊、國光劇團、屏風表演班、當代傳奇劇場、明華園等。曾任2009年臺北聽障奧運會開幕的舞台設計總監,2007年布拉格劇場四年展評審委員及臺灣參展召集人,當年臺灣館榮獲「最佳劇場技術運用金牌獎」;2004年於波蘭華沙總統官邸獲頒「雪樹國際成就獎」,2014年獲頒國家文化藝術基金會「國家文藝獎」。2016年~2021年4月為臺北表演藝術中心總監,現任臺北表演藝術中心執行長。
