Alex’s previous positions include engineering and marketing roles at Hitachi, Samsung, Siemens, Atheros and Qualcomm.  Having lived and worked in Silicon Valley, South Korea and Mainland China, he is familiar with the technology ecosystems on both sides of the Pacific.  In 2013, he co-founded MaiCoin, as he identified an opportunity to fruitfully develop cryptocurrencies and blockchain in Greater China. He holds undergraduate and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University, where he was a Mayfield Fellow. MaiCoin Group provides digital asset trading and blockchain technology services. It is a regulatory compliant cryptocurrency exchange in Taiwan, and has the largest trading volume in that market. It is one of the few trading platforms with an independent technology subsidiary, AMIS. Its businesses include MaiCoin, MAX, AMIS and Qubic.
